Mixing
At SKP West London Studios we know how important a fantastic sounding mix can be. Our aim when mixing is to keep the listener engaged at every moment during your song, drawing them into the verses, creating curiosity in bridges and mixing immersive choruses that won't be forgotten. We use a range of modern and traditional techniques to craft a mix that will stand out and make people sit up and take notice.
We use the best plug-ins from Waves, Softube, and Focusrite while listening across three seperate monitoring systems to ensure we are getting the best possible mix for your song.
If you have an idea of how you would like your mix to sound i.e. more vocals, drums up etc. then we are more then happy to follow your vision. Or if you would like to leave the mix up to us then that's awesome, we love to get creative at SKP Studios West London.
We are passionate about music and know how important your art is. We mix at a flat rate of £125 giving your song the time and attention it needs to stand out allowing for one revision if you want something changed.
£165 for a full day 7 hour day Monday-Sunday

Recording/Production
At SKP Studios West London we have been recording vocalists and musicians for over a decade. We can record anything from vocals, keys, acoustic and electric guitars, bass guitars and even live drums, which we all have on hand to use at no extra cost.
Our day rate includes working with our inhouse engineer/multi-intrumentalist so if you can't play any instruments or would like to include something you can't perform yourself, we are more then happy to do the playing for you!
We use some of the most well known brands in audio including Neumann, AKG, API and Mogami to capture great performances whether you're recording intimate poetry or screaming guitars. Our separate live room provides an excellent environment to make sure you get the most out of your performances.

Online Mixing
Have a home recording that you'd like to have professionally mixed or remixed? Then send us your files and any instructions and we'll do the rest. You can usually expect a 2-3 day turnaround.

Online Production/Composition
Have a song or track idea but don't have the time to make it to the studio? At SKP Studios West London we can turn those ideas into a fully fledged recording!
At SKP Studios West London we have been recording vocalists and musicians for over a decade. We can record anything from vocals, keys, acoustic and electric guitars, bass guitars and even live drums, which we all have on hand to use at no extra cost.
£30 per hour with a reduced hourly rate from 2 hours or more.
Production Tuition
Want to learn how to produce a track from start to finish using traditional microphone techniques and how to make the most out of using Logic X?
I teach in Logic X and the tuition is broken up into different sections.
You will be taught how to use Logic X effectively. Setting up a session in Logic X to record and edit audio using both live instruments and programmed instruments. This will include setting up tracks ready to record live audio and setting up tracks to record midi instruments, choosing virtual instruments and using keybinds to speed up this process.
We will explore the features in logic to help you gain a better understanding of the software and to eliminate the mystery behind using DAWs. If desired I can also teach you how to mic guitar/bass amps, Vocals and live drums.
Further on from here I will teach you the fundamentals of mixing and mastering which can be used for any genre of music regardless of the amount of tracks. This will include:
An understanding of acoustics, monitoring and acoustic spaces.
Balance. (which is what mixing is all about)
EQ .
Compression.
Reverbs and Delays.
More advanced mixing techniques such as Parallel compression, the use of saturation and stereo imaging.
The use of Reference tracks.
Listening techniques.
Work flow organisation to make your mixing more efficient.
I will also guide you through the fundamentals of music theory such as scales, how to make chords, harmony and chord progressions (which we would incorporate within the lessons of both recording and mixing so your learning is fluid.)
It is my intention as a tutor to simplify the process of audio Production to eliminate the mystery behind various techniques and to enable students to confidently move forward with their ideas.

Vocal Recording
Are you a vocalist who would like to record their favourite songs? We can source backing tracks prior to the recording session or feel free to bring your own. We strive to get the best performances out of our clients and are able to communicate with the performer via our talkback mic to give guidance as the recording progresses. We use professional quality vocal mics including AKG C414's and the Neumann U87, Mogami cables and API and Neve pre-amps to capture all the details of your voice.
